In this Privacy Policy us, we, our or Mumba means Mumba Pty Ltd ABN 42 120 506 872 and its related bodies corporate.
This Privacy Policy sets out:

- The purposes for which this information is collected, held, used and disclosed;
- How you may access personal information we hold and update such information;
- How you may contact us should you have any concerns about personal information we hold.
This policy may be updated from time to time to ensure compliance with new or amended laws, as a result of new technology or to keep up with changes in our operations.

Mumba does not use or disclose your personal information for a purpose other than that for which it was collected, unless such use or disclosure would be reasonably expected; is for a purpose as set out in this Privacy Policy; or where you give us your consent.
1. Collection of personal information
We may collect your personal information including (but not limited to) name, contact details (such as address, email, phone number) and (where applicable) financial information when you login to the App, create or access an account or otherwise transact with us. This information is collected for the purpose of allowing you to use the Mumba App and website and for the purposes set out in this policy, and we will never use your information for other purposes without your prior consent.
You are not obliged to provide us your personal information. However, failure to do so may mean that you are unable to access the App and we won’t be able to supply you with products, services or information that is relevant to you.
We may also receive information about you from other third-party providers, including from the License Holder. In particular, the License Holder will provide information about you when they submit information for us to be able to supply services to you. For example, we may receive your job description, job title, date of birth, length of employment, salary information and employment status when the License Holder provides this to us in order for us to provide you with the services. You acknowledge that it is necessary for us to collect, store and use this information for us to fulfil our obligations to supply services under the license agreement and on behalf of the License Holder, so it would be impractical to collect this information from you directly.
We use tracking technologies, such as cookies or web beacons, to make the use of our website and services as convenient as possible. Cookies are pieces of information that a website transfers to a computer's hard disk for record keeping purposes. Most web browsers are set to accept tracking technologies such as cookies or web beacons. These tracking technologies do not themselves personally identify users and the information collected does not constitute personal information. These tracking technologies allow us to monitor the App usage and to record how many people are using the different parts of our App or website. It is possible to set your browser to refuse tracking technologies such as cookies or web beacons, however, this may limit your use of our App or website.
2. Use of your personal information
Depending on the circumstances of the services we provide to you, your personal information may be used for the following purposes:
- to fulfil obligations under any contract between us and you;
- to fulfil obligations under any contract between us and the License Holder, where the License Holder has outsourced the supply of any services to us;
- to render services related to our business, for example providing upgrades and updated information, and technical and customer support;
- to verify your identity;
- to make changes to your profile and/or personal information;
- to improve our technology and services;
- to respond to any queries or feedback you may have;
- to conduct appropriate checks to minimise or avoid fraud;
- to ensure that various products, services and special offers related to employee benefits (including products and services supplied by third parties), are tailored based on your personal circumstances in the cases where these products, services and special employee benefit offers have been approved by you and/or the License Holder;
- to provide you with and assist you to subscribe to any newsletter, competitions, communications, special employee benefit promotions we offer or may in the future offer and to manage and administer those services in the cases where you and/or the License Holder have opted into those services; and
- to record data usage statistics.
3. Disclosure of your personal information
In order to operate effectively, we may disclose your personal information to other Mumba group companies in Australia. In certain circumstances, your personal information may also be disclosed to a third party:
- who is engaged by us to provide services on our behalf (such as operating our website and/or support desk, processing payments, debugging issues etc.);
- who we refer you to for the purposes of employee benefit promotions, or goods or services being supplied to you by that third party, in the cases where you have opted into disclosing your information to the third party (such as applying for a Novated Lease);
- who may purchase our business;
- in order to investigate your activity if we suspect you have breached our Terms of Use or have been engaged in other unlawful activity; or
- as permitted or required by law.
You consent to such disclosure as outlined above in order to use the App. If you’ve opted into services with third parties then naturally, the third parties may communicate with you directly and you consent to such communications (e.g. if you’ve enquired about a Novated Lease then the leasing company may contact you to setup the novated lease).
Mumba always takes the necessary steps to safeguard your personal information hence we work to ensure that any third party to whom we disclose your personal information will comply with the Australian Privacy Principles.
4. Accessing and updating your personal information
You can access and update the personal information that we hold about you, request that your personal information be corrected or in the cases where you’ve opted into receiving promotional information from us, you can inform us that you do not wish to receive the promotional communications from us by contacting us by email at
5. Storage and security of personal information
We will endeavor to take all reasonable steps to keep secure any personal information recorded and to keep this information accurate and up to date. Personal information is stored on secure servers in digital format or in locked areas if in hardcopy format. However, security of communications over the internet cannot be guaranteed, and therefore absolute assurance that information will be secure at all times cannot be given. You acknowledge that we cannot guarantee the security of online transactions and electronic communications. We will not be held responsible for events arising from unauthorised access to personal information.
