Since the launch of Mumba Cloud G3 back in June 2013, we've been working on a range of exciting new features designed to improve the distribution of internal employee communications across large workforces.
One exciting new feature soon to be launched to our enterprise clients, is the ability to target information campaigns to specific employees based on their profile data. We call this new feature Rapid Target.
Rapid Target emerged due to ongoing requests from our clients to create unique, targeted internal communication campaigns around particular business events. For example, a chain of retail stores wanted their franchisee managers to encounter a screen overlay after login to Mumba Cloud during their annual conference build-up. Mumba Cloud currently supports these types of internal communication campaigns however until now they have been configured by our Admin Support Team on a case-by-case basis.
With Rapid Target, any admin can easily create welcome screen overlays, rotating banners, profile news, pop-outs, information segments, company news items etc. within a few easy clicks. Most importantly the information is targeted to specific groups of employees by simply selecting the appropriate page zone and relevant employee profile fields.
Using this retail conference example, the group of managers can be isolated by selecting their job title, position and/or location in their profile. Any employee with the corresponding 'Manager' field in their profile will view the overlay on the designated page zone during the time of the communication campaign.
Rapid Target is extremely powerful and flexible. It also offers detailed reporting thereby opening new opportunities for tracking and improving internal employee communication campaigns, especially when combined with the Mumba Mobile phone application.
On another front, we're excited to mention today that we've been working on an upcoming release of our API for Enterprise clients. One interesting aspect to our API is that it's tightly integrated into our Mumba Mobile native phone application allowing for easy phone app customization directly from the admin panel. For example, any feature that is enabled/disabled from the admin will be immediately reflected in the native phone application. In practice, this means that a new poll, survey or phone feature can be turned on and off without needing to upgrade or modify the phone application.
