Mumba Cloud Enterprise Social Network Is Getting a Facelift

Mumba Cloud Enterprise Social Network Is Getting a Facelift

Over the past few months the Mumba team has been working on our next major release of Mumba Cloud Enterprise Social Network for July 2013.

Since our Mumba Cloud Enterprise release in 2010 and our worldwide SaaS release in July 2012 this next version marks our 3rd generation private social networking platform.

Most of Mumba Cloud's architecture has been re-designed from the ground-up using the most current web technologies. A number of exciting new features have also made their way from Mumba Cloud Enterprise to our Free and Premium customers.

We'll touch on three key highlights:

Performance

A major advancement for Mumba Cloud is our move to Amazon Web Services (AWS). We are moving Mumba Cloud from our private cloud infrastructure to AWS to better facilitate clients across various geographic regions. The upgraded Mumba platform has been designed to take full advantage of AWS's unique server deployments ensuring each client site can scale appropriately across the globe. Furthermore AWS now has a new data centre in Australia so our Australian Enterprise clients can be assured of reliable performance with best of breed hosting and security.

Interface

Mumba Cloud is receiving an exciting new facelift. We've always focused on simple and intuitive interfaces that are easy to use with a small learning curve. This next release pushes the envelope for non-tech savvy users. Employees will enjoy a seamless, fluid user experience. Primarily driven through Ajax and Java techniques, the new interface is responsive and engaging.

With the next release of Mumba Cloud we will be dropping official support for Internet Explorer 7 (IE7) browsers in-line with the rest of the world. Enterprise clients may request a custom interface that supports IE7 however Free and Premium accounts will be transitioned to the new technology and will be encouraged to upgrade.

Mumba Mobile

Mumba Mobile has been a major highlight this year. After months of field testing it was officially released for Enterprise clients in March 2013. Free and Premium customers can expect access to Mumba Mobile within a few months after Mumba Cloud has been upgraded.

Mumba Mobile is deployed as either a mobile web application or native phone application and is compatible with all phone devices and operating systems. Mumba Mobile is completely customizable for Enterprise clients and is especially suited to Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) environments.

The Mumba team has focused its efforts to ensure Mumba Cloud is the premium choice for Business Social Networking deployments in the retail, hospitality, facilities management, building, mining and transport sectors. The latest upgrades are designed to unlock further business potential in these industries and provide employees with a richer experience.

More news and features will follow as we approach our release date. Please follow us on Twitter and Facebook for more information and news.
