ISS Facility Services Chooses Mumba to Communicate & Interact with Their Workforce

It is a pleasure to see major blue chip companies engaging with Mumba Cloud and exploring how our unique Enterprise Mobility Solution will wrap around their existing business systems and convert them into a secure, powerful, cost efficient and easy to use employee app.

As the new Managing Director of Mumba, I regard it as especially noteworthy when our customers publicly endorse the value our software solution provides, as is the case with ISS Facility Services (ISS) here in Australia.

ISS, with over 500,000 staff globally, is a market leading provider of facility services that leverages global knowledge and experience for local service delivery. The company operates in a variety of high risk environments, with structured processes and technological solutions designed to provide customers with peace of mind, in addition to exceptional performance.

Historically, one of the most pressing challenges for ISS has been to communicate and collaborate with around 11,000 employees working onsite, across Australia, keeping in mind that many employees are not easily or consistently available via email or company intranet. Examples of such workers include chefs, cleaners and aviation protection offices.

Even more pressing was the need to address and manage spiraling costs related to paper-heavy admin and workflow demands and the ability to easily update a myriad of information on a continuous basis. This includes staff and management having real time access to pay information, leave, rosters and the exchange of key information.

In order to address these challenges ISS chose Mumba as their provider of choice, after considering numerous options.

Following a successful trial utilising Android, desktop and iOS mobile devices, ISS launched its impressive custom built "MyISS" app, developed in close partnership with Mumba.

As a consequence, not only did this app succeed in attaining all of the objectives mentioned but, according to Scott Erwin ISS Director of People & Culture, also helped make ISS the employer of choice for cleaners and support staff. This is in in addition to enhancing the Group’s overall efficiency. Erwin describes the app’s integration with Kronos and other ISS backend technology as a “Game changer for how our employees interact with us”.

The success of the MyISS rollout across the cleaning division means that it will now be rolled out to employees across the entire aviation & transport areas, as well as in the energy & resources and health divisions.
